MIL Std. EMI/EMC Facility

The New MIL EMI/EMC Facility at SAMEER - Centre for Electromagnetics is a project, funded by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) for establishing a state-of-the-art EMI/EMC facility as per the requirements of MIL 461 E/F/G Standards to support the defense and strategic sector. The facility includes two new Shielded Anechoic Chambers with fully automated instrumentation. The facility supports test & measurements up to 40GHz and Immunity measurements for field strengths up to 200V/m. The facility will complement the efforts of Government of India in achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The EMC Laboratory, SAMEER-CEM, Chennai has been now certified and registered as a Medical Device Testing Laboratory for carrying out Test or Evaluation of medical device on behalf of manufacturer under the Medical Devices Rules,2017.
